From pristine beaches and thrilling water sports, everyone can find their cup of tea in Nusa Dua. In this article, we will explore the best things to do in Nusa Dua. All of this is in the hope of ensuring that your visit is filled with adventure, relaxation and memorable moments. Now, let’s dive and discover the wonders of Nusa Dua together!

PS: I did not spend a lot of time in Nusa Dua. So, the content in this article is mostly based on information I gathered while traveling in the area and not all based on personal experience. I can assure you that for the small amount of time I spent in Nusa Dua, it is a little paradise.

  1. Explore the best beaches
  2. Indulge in water sports
  3. Go see the Water Blow
  4. Relax at a spa
  5. My ultimate opinion on Nusa Dua – As a backpacker

Explore the best beaches

The beaches in Nusa Dua are absolutely stunning! They are mostly famous for their turquoise waters and pristine white sand. Nusa Dua’s beaches also offer world-class facilities, such as beach clubs and luxury resorts. It’s the perfect place to relax, soak up in the sun, and enjoy the natural beauty of Bali. You will love it!

Here are three of the best beaches in Nusa Dua:

Geger Beach – Known for its crystal clear waters and soft white sand. Perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Mengiat Beach – Known for its calm waters and peaceful atmosphere. Perfect for sunbathing and enjoying the view.

Sawangan Beach – Known for a more secluded and tranquil experience. She is surrounded by lush greenery and has stunning cliffs overlooking the ocean.

Indulge in water sports

Nusa Dua is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. If you ever get tired of just relaxing on the beach, just hop in the water to try one of their many water activities. You’ll easily find some snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing, parasailing, kiteboarding and even flyboarding. This last one will surely impress. Flyboarding is a unique experience that will make you feel like a superhero. It’s a board on which you strap your feet, which being propelled by water jets, will push you into the air.

Go see the Water Blow

Witness the power of nature at the Water Blow, where crashing waves create a beautiful spectacle. This activity won’t take you a long time since it is more of something to watch than something to do. Make sure to be careful around such powerful waters.

Relax at a spa

Treat yourself to a rejuvenating spa experience. Nusa Dua is known for its luxurious resorts and wellness centers offering traditional Balinese massages and spa treatments.

A few recommendations I heard a lot were: Mulia Spa, Heavenly Spa by Westin, Mandara Spa and The Ritz-Carlton Spa.

Nusa Dua is considered to be a more expensive area compared to the other places in Bali. If you are traveling on a tighter budget, having a spa treatment somewhere else might be better for you.

My ultimate opinion on Nusa Dua – As a backpacker

Nusa Dua is a gorgeous place but, as I said, it is a more expensive area. It is absolutely worth visiting for the beautiful beaches but I don’t think the beaches are better than in Uluwatu. If you want to pick one, Uluwatu would be my choice. Also, the accommodations are way more expensive. The best way to visit if you are on a tight budget is to stay somewhere else, in Kuta for example, and rent a scooter for 100k IDR a day. If you are not doing expensive water sports and spa treatments, you don’t need more than a day to see everything.
