Terço do Meio – Sourdough Bakery & Café

  • Food: 10/10
  • Ambiance: 7/10
  • Star rating on Google: 4.8
  • Location: Praça dos Navegantes loja 16, 2655-320 Ericeira

Terço do Meio is a cozy, rustic bakery that has become a staple for locals and visitors alike. This spot is famous for its fresh sourdough bread, which brings in customers looking for high-quality baked goods. The interior has a warm, homey vibe, though seating is limited, so it can be tricky to find a spot. I was lucky to get a seat and ordered their Greek yogurt bowl, a delicious and refreshing start to the day, with fresh fruit and honey for just €6.50. Of course, I couldn’t leave without grabbing a loaf of their renowned sourdough bread, which cost €2.50 and was worth every penny—crusty on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside.

2

Oakberry Açaí – Quick and Healthy Option

  • Food: 9/10
  • Ambiance: 7/10
  • Star rating on Google: 4.7
  • Location: Tv. do Jogo da Bola 7a, 2655-297 Ericeira

Oakberry is a well-known global franchise, but its appeal remains strong in Ericeira. If you’re in the mood for a quick, refreshing breakfast or snack, Oakberry’s açaí bowls and smoothies are hard to beat. The setup here is simple and straightforward—you choose your toppings, customize your bowl, and enjoy a healthy, tasty treat. It’s perfect for travelers on the go or anyone needing a quick pick-me-up between surf sessions. The ambiance is laid-back and ideal for a casual stop.

Must-try: Go for the classic açaí bowl with toppings like granola, fresh fruit, and coconut shavings. It’s refreshing and filling, perfect for a snack or light breakfast.

3

Secret Oven – Incredible Sourdough Pizza

  • Food: 8.5/10
  • Ambiance: 6/10
  • Star rating on Google: 4.7
  • Location: R. do Norte 37, 2655-321 Ericeira

For pizza lovers, Secret Oven is a must-visit. Specializing in sourdough pizza, this spot delivers bold flavors and an impressive menu that will satisfy any craving. The ambiance here is casual, more of a quick-stop eatery than a sit-down restaurant. It has a bit of a fast-food vibe, but the pizza quality makes up for it. A friend and I shared two vegetarian pizzas: the Artichoke (€14) and the Zucchini (€12). Both were delicious, with the Artichoke being the standout—it had a unique mix of flavors and textures that were perfectly balanced.

Must-try: Order the Artichoke pizza if you’re a fan of creative toppings, or go for a classic margherita for a taste of their sourdough crust at its finest.

  • Food: 11/10
  • Ambiance: 7/10
  • Star rating on Google: 4.2
  • Location: R. do Carmo 40, 2655-253 Ericeira

Hayaci is a sushi lover’s paradise and one of the best places I’ve found for all-you-can-eat sushi in Ericeira. As someone who searches for “all-you-can-eat sushi” in every city I visit, I was thrilled with the quality and variety at Hayaci. Priced at €14.90 for lunch and €17.90 for dinner, the menu offers an extensive range of rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese delights. You order via tablet, making it easy to sample a bit of everything without leaving your seat. The quality was genuinely surprising for an all-you-can-eat setup; every bite was fresh, and the fish was tender and flavorful.

Must-try: Sample their nigiri and sashimi, and don’t miss the creative roll options. This is one of the best value-for-money sushi experiences you’ll find in town.

5

Pepe Verde Pizzeria – Cozy Italian with Great Vibes

  • Food: 8/10
  • Ambiance: 8/10
  • Star rating on Google: 4.5
  • Location: R. Mendes Leal n.22, 2655-319 Ericeira

Pepe Verde Pizzeria is another great option for pizza, offering a cozy atmosphere and delicious Italian flavors. This spot has a welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger over your meal, enjoying the friendly atmosphere and the rustic decor. I ordered the Venezia pizza, topped with smoked salmon and burrata, for €12. While slightly cheaper than Secret Oven, the flavors were still strong and satisfying. Pepe Verde’s menu offers plenty of choices, from classic margheritas to inventive options that’ll please any palate.
