The shrimp were large, fresh, and full of flavor, making the Pad Thai absolutely top-notch. If I remember correctly, the restaurant is owned by Thai people, which would explain why it’s so authentic and delicious. If you’re in Panajachel, this spot should definitely be at the top of your list!

The relaxing ambiance and stunning lake view make Sababa a must-visit for a laid-back dining experience with a twist.

Personal Experience: This quickly became our go-to spot—the one we returned to the most during our time in Guatemala. The food was outstanding, but the real showstopper was the incredible view. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, but if there’s one thing you must order, it’s their mint frozen lemonade. It’s like a premium, non-alcoholic mojito, and I still find myself dreaming about it even a year after my trip.

Personal Experience: We visited this place based on a recommendation, and wow, it did not disappoint! At first glance, the decor seemed a bit sketchy, but it had a warm, family-like vibe that quickly grew on us. By the end of the meal, I’d rate the ambiance a solid 10/10—it’s that unassuming charm that made it feel so welcoming.

Now, let’s talk about the food. Not only was it absolutely delicious, but the portion sizes were massive—the biggest I’d seen anywhere! When people talk about restaurants being generous, this place redefines the word. For such affordable prices and huge servings, this is hands down the best restaurant around the lake. If you’re in San Pedro, this is my top pick and an absolute must-visit!

7

The Fifth Dimension – San Pedro

Personal Experience: We arrived with high hopes of trying their pizzas, only to be quickly disappointed when we were told they weren’t available that night. We’re not sure if this was a one-time issue or if their pizzas tend to sell out quickly in the evening, but it wasn’t what we had expected. That said, the dishes we ended up ordering were absolutely delicious and incredibly refreshing, featuring a variety of salads and fresh vegetables.

If you’re looking for a healthy dining spot with a beautiful rooftop view of San Pedro, this place is definitely worth considering. Just be flexible with your order, as the menu items you’re craving might not always be available.
