Price of the Activity
Entrance Price
The entrance fee for Hobbitenango is quite affordable, making it accessible for families and groups. The cost is 50 GTQ per adult and 30 GTQ for children aged 4-10 years. If you’re planning to spend a full day at this magical destination, the entrance fee gives you access to all the incredible views, activities, and facilities Hobbitenango has to offer.
All-You-Can-Eat Buffet
If you’re visiting Hobbitenango on a weekend or holiday, consider taking advantage of their all-you-can-eat buffet, available only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The great part is that when you opt for the buffet, the entrance fee is included in the price!
- Breakfast Buffet (8 am – 12 pm): 149 GTQ per adult and 69 GTQ per child (ages 4-11)
- Lunch Buffet (12:30 pm – 5 pm): 184 GTQ per adult and 79 GTQ per child (ages 4-11)

How to Get There
First, you’ll need to be in Antigua, and from there, you have three main options to get to Hobbitenango:
- Walking: If you’re up for a bit of exercise and looking to save some money, walking from Antigua to Hobbitenango is a great option. The walk takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and it’s a scenic way to experience the area. Plus, it doubles as a mini workout!
- Uber/Taxi: The fastest and most convenient way to reach Hobbitenango is by Uber or taxi. A one-way trip should cost around 70 GTQ, and if you’re traveling with others, you can split the cost, making it even more affordable. I personally prefer Uber since you’ll know the fixed price upfront, but taxis are also readily available.
- Shuttle Services: Hobbitenango offers its own shuttle service with several convenient options:
- From the Hobbitenango office: You can head to their office in Antigua, where a shuttle departs every two hours. It also returns from the site every two hours, and the round trip costs 45 GTQ per person.
- Hotel Pickup: If you’re staying at a hotel, Hobbitenango can arrange a round trip directly from your accommodation for 250 GTQ. The shuttle can accommodate up to 4 people, making it a great option for groups.
- Hostel Partnerships: Some hostels in Antigua have partnered with Hobbitenango to offer a special package. For 100 GTQ, you’ll get a round trip shuttle and entrance to the park. Just check with your hostel’s reception for availability and details.
