The 8 Best Beaches Of Aruba

The 8 Best Beaches Of Aruba

Located in the heart of the Caribbean lies Aruba, an island renowned for its stunning beaches. All of them offer a unique blend of beauty and charm. If you are planning your trip to Aruba, you might have noticed that there are so many beaches on the island. If you don’t know which ones are totally worth a visit, this article is for you! Let’s take a look at the 8 best beaches of Aruba :

  1. Eagle Beach (My ultimate favorite)
  2. Palm Beach
  3. Baby Beach (Young children’s best beach)
  4. Rodgers Beach
  5. Tres Trapi
  6. Hadicurari Beach (Kitesurfing spot)
  7. Druif Beach
  8. Blackstone Beach

Eagle Beach (My ultimate favorite)

Location: Western coast near Oranjestad

Popular for: Sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling and jet-skiing

Aruba is filled with beautiful beaches. All of them are worth a visit, but if you only had to choose one on the entire island, it would have to be Eagle Beach. I have seen clean beaches with crystal clear water before, but there is something about this beach that makes it the best beach I’ve seen in my life. Especially at sunset, your eyes won’t understand that what you’re seeing isn’t fake or is not a filter. There’s a reason why this beach was once ranked 2nd place on the scale of the best beaches in the world. I don’t know if the ranking is up-to-date, but I am sure this beach will always stay in the top 5.

Since it is really famous, it is pretty crowded. But, the beach is big, and I don’t see how it would be possible for you to not have a nice spot.

My rating for this beach: 11/10, it is, to this day, the most beautiful beach I’ve seen in my life.

Palm Beach

Location: Adjacent to Eagle Beach

Popular for: Water sports and entertainment

This is another very well-known stretch of coastline in Aruba. I would say that it is the beach with the most activity since it is lined with luxury resorts, restaurants and beach bars. People will say “Palm Beach” not only referring to the beach itself but more to the area since there is so much surrounding it.

Also, very famous and very crowded but again very big. The luxury resorts are taking up a lot of space on this beach.

My rating for this beach: 6/10, not very special but practical for its proximity to restaurants and shops.

Baby Beach (Young children’s best beach)

Location: Southern coast near Sint Nicolaas

Popular for: Families with young children and snorkeling

This beach wears its name perfectly. The beach’s curved shape creates a natural lagoon, sheltered from strong waves and currents, which is amazing for families with young children/babies or inexperienced swimmers. Another great aspect is that the water is so clear, it’s a great spot for snorkeling just a few feet from the shore.

Baby Beach is simply perfect for everyone BUT it does make it a really crowded beach.

My rating for this beach: 8/10, it is very crowded but I still love it! It’s nice to be able to chill in the water for hours since it’s so calm and it is definitely the best one for families.

Rodgers Beach

Location: Neighbour of Baby Beach

Popular for: Not popular but great for it’s perfect sand and clear waters

If you are looking for a quieter beach, Rodgers Beach is literally right next to Baby Beach and is not crowded at all. When we went, there was only another family on the beach. There are no restaurants or rental equipment, compared to Baby Beach, but if you have your lunch and prefer the quietness, definitely check it out. It’s the perfect place to have peace of mind and enjoy relaxation at its fullest.

The only downfall is this huge industrial structure but it is only ugly to the eyes, there is no smell or noise.

My rating for this beach: 8/10, except for the bad view to the right. This beach offers the most calmness on the whole island.

Tres Trapi

Location: On the northern coast

Popular for: Snorkeling and taking pictures

If you look at the map, Tres Trapi is located between Boca Catalina and Malmok Beach. These spots might be better to lay down and enjoy the sun but now I’m really talking about this small spot of heaven. I think you can probably see by this picture but wow. It’s a perfect spot to take pictures going down the rock staircase. Also, look at how many people have a tuba and a mask in their hands. This is also the perfect spot to look at little fishes.

It is pretty popular but since it’s not a place to lie down, people don’t stay for long and that gives a chance to everyone to explore the waters. They will move to one of the two other beaches that are nearby to lie down and sunbathe.

My rating for this beach: 7/10, amazing for pictures and snorkeling but you can’t spend too much time there since the only place comfortable is in the water.

Hadicurari Beach (Kitesurfing spot)

Location: Near Palm Beach on the northern coast

Popular for: Kitesurf

What makes it the perfect spot for kitesurfing in Aruba is definitely its steady trade winds and shallow waters. There are not a lot of people on the beach since, as you can see in this video, the sand is nothing compared to other beaches. Having no swimmers nearby makes it even more perfect for the ones kitesurfing in the water.

Not crowded at all but it’s not a reason to go. If you don’t plan on kitesurfing you can make a way better choice of beach to spend your day.

My rating for this beach: 4/10, it was nice seeing all these people kitesurfing in the water but I had no interest in chilling at this beach since I don’t kitesurf.

Druif Beach

Location: Near Eagle Beach on the western coast

Popular for: Sunbathing and swimming

This beach is another great option having beautiful soft white sands and calm waters. I visited this beach on a more cloudy day so I don’t know if that is the reason that it wasn’t crowded at all. A little research on the internet on my end gives me similar comments saying that this beach is less crowded than the popular ones nearby.

My rating for this beach: 8/10, well-maintained beach that is less crowded: very good option.

Blackstone Beach

Location: Andicuri Bay

Popular for: Picture and lunch break stop

You absolutely have to spend a day exploring all the beauties near Andicuri Bay and for that reason, you will pass by Blackstone Beach. This beach has such an original beauty and is amazing for nice pictures. It is not a comfy sand beach, so you won’t spend the day lying there, but it is the perfect spot to enjoy your lunch during your day exploring the bay.
