Unlike Marrakech, we found the atmosphere much calmer and less overwhelming, making it much more enjoyable to explore the city at our own pace.

Walking through the medina was hands down the highlight of our stay in Fes.
Having previously visited Marrakech, we immediately noticed a huge difference in the atmosphere and the way vendors interact with tourists. The medina felt much calmer and more relaxed, and the vendors were far less pushy.
Shopping for souvenirs is always one of our favorite parts of traveling, and Fes was no exception.
Léo wanted to buy a pair of slippers with camels on them for her boyfriend, so we spent a couple of hours comparing prices and quality throughout the medina before eventually returning to the first shop we had visited. They offered the best balance between quality and price.
